Traditionally, the playground is an interactive space where children play on equipment for fun. The body and its movement are essential in a playground, and the space is dynamically designed for various activities.

 

This reimagined playground is for grown-ups. 

 

It is not just meant to remind us of our past childhood innocence; it is a progressive idea for adults to reconnect their bodies to the structures in the park. This differs from the amusement park, where most people passively rely on electric-based rides. By exploring the grown-up playground, people find their own journey.

 

This project focuses on the tension between structures and the boundaries that divide the space. The staircases are the playground’s main “attraction,” connecting different spots and providing diverse observation decks. Additionally, each section has distinctive structures in a rectangular boundary, including columns. 

 

As a semi-enclosed structure, this quiet and secure playground also invites the user to meditate, read and contemplate the nature of time itself.
